Spring Break Activities in the Fraser Valley (2026)

Spring Break is the perfect time to explore everything the Fraser Valley has to offer. Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventures, hands-on learning experiences, or fun indoor activities for rainy days, there are plenty of family-friendly options across Langley, Surrey, Abbotsford, Mission, and Chilliwack.

Here are some great ways to keep the kids busy and make the most of Spring Break close to home.

Langley

Canadian Museum of Flight

A hidden gem for aviation lovers, this museum features vintage aircraft, flight simulators, and exhibits about Canada’s aviation history. Kids love seeing real airplanes up close and learning how flight works.

Fast Track Indoor Karting

Go Karts

If the weather isn’t cooperating, indoor go-kart racing is a great way to burn off energy. Kids and adults can race around the track, making it a fun activity for the whole family.

Douglas Park

This popular park in downtown Langley is perfect for a Spring Break afternoon with playgrounds, walking paths, and open green space for picnics or games.

Penzer Action Park

One of the Fraser Valley’s coolest parks, featuring pump tracks, skate features, and outdoor play structures that kids of all ages enjoy.

Surrey

Hi-Knoll Driving Range & Mini-Golf

A fun family outing where kids can try mini-golf or practice their swing at the driving range.

Surrey also runs many Spring Break recreation programs, including swimming, skating, sports, and drop-in fitness activities through local recreation centres and day camps.

These programs are designed for children and teens and often include arts and crafts, games, music, and sports activities throughout the week.

Abbotsford

A few great outdoor and indoor options include:

Mill Lake Park
A scenic lake surrounded by walking trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas — perfect for a relaxed afternoon outdoors with the family.

Recreation Centre Programs
Local recreation centres often host Spring Break camps, STEM activities, skating sessions, and drop-in swimming throughout the week.

Mission

Mission offers several educational and creative camps during Spring Break, including STEM exploration programs where kids can experiment with robotics, 3D printing, and hands-on technology projects.

These programs provide a fun learning experience while keeping kids engaged during the break.

Chilliwack

Chilliwack is packed with outdoor adventure opportunities during Spring Break.

Cultus Lake Area
A great destination for mini golf, lakeside walks, or outdoor exploring.

Island 22 Regional Park
Families can enjoy nature walks, wildlife viewing, and bird watching in one of the region’s most beautiful natural areas.

Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre
If the weather turns rainy, this recreation centre offers a wave pool, lazy river, and family swimming areas for a fun indoor escape.  Free Public Swim on Saturday March 21 from 2-6pm for students under 18 with their families.

Chilliwack Coliseum
On Wednesday March 25 there will be a Free Public Skate. Free skate rentals are included, and each child will receive a $5 voucher for a drink and popcorn.

Make the Most of Spring Break

Spring Break doesn’t have to mean travel plans or expensive activities. The Fraser Valley offers plenty of local adventures — from parks and museums to recreation programs and outdoor exploration — that make it easy to create memorable family experiences close to home.

Whether you’re exploring a new trail, visiting a local attraction, or trying a hands-on camp, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy Spring Break right here in the Valley.
